I’m so concerned with what I look like from the outside. Will I blossom into what You hope I’ll be. Yet You’re so patient just to help me see. The blooms come from a deeper seed that You planted in me. Sometimes it’s hard to grow when everybody’s watching. To have your heart pruned by the one who knows best. And though I’m bare and cold. I know my season’s coming. And I’ll spring up in Your endless faithfulness. With my roots deep in You. I’ll grow the branch that bears the fruit. And though I’m small, I’ll still be standing in the storm. ‘Cause I am planted by the river by Your streams of living water. And I’ll grow up strong and beautiful, all for Your splendor, Lord. So with my arms stretched out, I’m swaying to Your heartbeat. I’m growing with the sound of Your voice calling. You’re bringing out the beauty that You have put in me. For Your joy and for Your glory falling.
“And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.” Ezekiel 47:12

I am so excited to worship with this group at Deeper tonight!
DIVINE timing for me to hear this message yesterday:
Let go
Trust God
He knows what’s best
Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy
Why is pain a part of us
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right
Sometimes it just hurts so much
But You’re here
You’re real
I know I can trust You
Even when it hurts
Even when it’s hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart (x2)
I’m not gonna worry
I know that You got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What’s good and what gets broken
Happens just the way that You plan
And I will run to You
You’re my refuge in Your arms
And I will sing to You
Cause of everything You are
You steady my heart (x2)
To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die.

I am preparing to say a final goodbye to my dear friend Judy this weekend. Judy married my grandfather 5 years ago. Ever since then she has been a very special part of my family and my life. Two years ago I spent 2 months with my grandpa and Judy in Florida. She helped me navigate through one of the hardest seasons of my life and together with my grandpa, her 80 year old friends, and the Florida sunshine “loved me back to life!” She was there for me when I didn’t really trust anyone else in the world. She directed me to God and to the truest part of myself. For that I am forever grateful!
She died suddenly about a month ago and her memorial is this Saturday in Ely, MN. Ely is such a special place for me and my family and for her family and friends as well. It will be the perfect place to celebrate and remember her life. There are so many people who loved and embraced Judy and I am excited to hear their stories.
When I found out the news of Judy’s passing I was overwhelmed with a flood of emotions. My natural reaction to strong emotions is to create something, anything… so i made coffee and drank it from the glass mug she gave me, made a cake, cooked some food, I wrote some poems, a story, started a new painting, drew pictures, took lots of pictures, took a bike ride, went to concerts, church, wrote a song, sang some songs… all these forms of expression are like prayer to me. I think God gave me these gifts to help me navigate my heart…
The following are some of the most precious gifts and advice Judy gave me:
She…
infused life with love
filled every room with laughter, and every day with new JOY
savored every moment, making it special
delighted in the little things
inspired others with stories, happiness, courage, strength, peace, and kindness
possessed a natural beauty, a richness of spirit and depth of soul.

Learning to embrace my beautiful personality:
As an ISFP, your primary mode of living is focused internally, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit into your value system. Your secondary mode is external, where you take things in via your five sense in a literal, concrete fashion.
ISFPs live in the world of sensation possibilities. They are keenly in tune with the way things look, taste, sound, feel and smell. They have a strong aesthetic appreciation for art, and are likely to be artists in some form, because they are unusually gifted at creating and composing things which will strongly affect the senses. They have a strong set of values, which they strive to consistently meet in their lives. They need to feel as if they’re living their lives in accordance with what they feel is right, and will rebel against anything which conflicts with that goal. They’re likely to choose jobs and careers which allow them the freedom of working towards the realization of their value-oriented personal goals.
ISFPs tend to be quiet and reserved, and difficult to get to know well. They hold back their ideas and opinions except from those who they are closest to. They are likely to be kind, gentle and sensitive in their dealings with others. They are interested in contributing to people’s sense of well-being and happiness, and will put a great deal of effort and energy into tasks which they believe in.
ISFPs have a strong affinity for aesthetics and beauty. They’re likely to be animal lovers, and to have a true appreciation for the beauties of nature. They’re original and independent, and need to have personal space. They value people who take the time to understand the ISFP, and who support the ISFP in pursuing their goals in their own, unique way. People who don’t know them well may see their unique way of life as a sign of carefree light-heartedness, but the ISFP actually takes life very seriously, constantly gathering specific information and shifting it through their value systems, in search for clarification and underlying meaning.
ISFPs are action-oriented individuals. They are “doers”, and are usually uncomfortable with theorizing concepts and ideas, unless they see a practical application. They learn best in a “hands-on” environment, and consequently may become easily bored with the traditional teaching methods, which emphasize abstract thinking. They do not like impersonal analysis, and are uncomfortable with the idea of making decisions based strictly on logic. Their strong value systems demand that decisions are evaluated against their subjective beliefs, rather than against some objective rules or laws.
ISFPs are extremely perceptive and aware of others. They constantly gather specific information about people, and seek to discover what it means. They are usually penetratingly accurate in their perceptions of others.
ISFPs are warm and sympathetic. They genuinely care about people, and are strongly service-oriented in their desire to please. They have an unusually deep well of caring for those who are close to them, and are likely to show their love through actions, rather than words.
ISFPs have no desire to lead or control others, just as they have no desire to be led or controlled by others. They need space and time alone to evaluate the circumstances of their life against their value system, and are likely to respect other people’s needs for the same.
The ISFP is likely to not give themself enough credit for the things which they do extremely well. Their strong value systems can lead them to be intensely perfectionist, and cause them to judge themselves with unneccesary harshness.
The ISFP has many special gifts for the world, especially in the areas of creating artistic sensation, and selflessly serving others. Life is not likely to be extremely easy for the ISFP, because they take life so seriously, but they have the tools to make their lives and the lives of those close to them richly rewarding experiences.

I opened Panera today bright and early today at 6am with joy in my heart as I celebrated my 1 year anniversary with the company.
I have really enjoyed my time as an associate, serving people as I channel my inner “mother bread” and embrace “Panera Warmth” this past year.
Panera has always been an enjoyable place for me over the years and it has been an honor to work there for 1 year now.
My managers were very affirming to me today and celebrated my work with a robot dance and by presenting me with a pin that I will wear proudly!
I look forward to many more good times of filling peoples tummies with good food hearts with JOY!
Cheers
